House From 'Edward Scissorhands' Movie For Sale In Lutz

Built in 1989, just before the filming of "Edward Scissorhands," the 1,432-square-foot home in Carpenters Run represented the stereotypical suburban home in a friendly, middle-class all-American neighborhood.

This home just happened to have a gardener with a unique talent for trimming hedges (and standard poodles).

You won't find any of Edward Scissorhands' trademark topiaries remaining at the home. And the powder blue exterior has been repainted taupe.

Other than that, it's pretty much the same as it was when door-to-door saleslady Peg Bogg brought Edward home after discovering him hiding in a run-down castle owned by a mad scientist (Vincent Price) who gave Edward scissors for hands.

Here'a little-known fact: Nick Carter was an uncredited extra in the movie, playing one of the neighborhood kids. Carter lived with his family in Ruskin when "Edward Scissorhands" was filmed. Three years later, Carter became one of the Backstreet Boys when the boy band was formed in Orlando.

Since the filming of "Edward Scissorhands," the master bathroom of the iconic home has been completely remodeled and the floors in three bedrooms were replaced. But the kitchen cabinets and counter tops are all original.
