22nd Avenue Bridge To Close For Two Weeks
The 22nd Avenue Bridge, which carries pedestrians and vehicles over the Miami River, will shut down for two weeks.

MIAMI, FL — The 22nd Avenue Bridge, which carries pedestrians and vehicles over the Miami River, will shut down for two weeks starting on Sept. 16.
The bridge is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 30, according to the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works.
County officials said the closure is needed to repair the machinery frame. Road closures will go into effect near the Miami River along NW 22 Avenue from NW 14 Street to NW 20 Street.

"Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use the suggested detours instead," county officials said.

- Northbound/southbound traffic will be detoured to NW 17 Avenue and NW 27 Avenue.
- Eastbound/Westbound traffic will be detoured to NW 14 Street and NW 20 Street.
