Baby Girl Born At Miami International Airport On Father’s Day
The newborn baby girl, born at the Miami International Airport on Father's Day, has been appropriately named Mia.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — The Miami International Airport welcomed a different kind of arrival Sunday — a baby girl was born at the airport just in time for Father’s Day.
“The stork was cleared for arrival today for a special delivery,” the airport tweeted Sunday.
The newborn was appropriately named Mia, which just happens to be the airport’s letter code.

The baby’s mother, who had just arrived on an American Airlines flight from Chicago, gave birth to her daughter inside a restroom near Gate D43, the Miami Herald reported.
Members of the airport’s terminal team, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Miami-Dade Police Department assisted with the delivery, the airport said.
