BRADENTON, FL — A 55-year-old Bradenton man has won a $1 million top prize from the Florida Lottery.

Marco Moschini played the Fastest Road To $1 Million Scratch-Off game, which is a $30 game that launched in February with 155 top prizes of $1 million and a total of $948 million in prize money.

Moschini brought his winning ticket to a secure drop box at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee since lottery offices are still closed from the coronavirus shutdown.

"To help protect employees and players during the COVID-19 outbreak, Florida Lottery headquarters and district offices remain closed to the public until further notice," according to a lottery spokesperson. "Players who have winning tickets are encouraged to utilize the lottery’s secured drop box located at each district office or mail tickets to Florida Lottery Headquarters or their nearest district office."

Moschini opted to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000. He purchased his ticket at the Lakewood Ranch Mobil, which is at 6290 Lake Osprey Drive in Sarasota. The Mobil station will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
