Damaged Gas Line Closes South Dade Busway
Construction crews damaged a natural gas line Friday morning in the area of the South Dade Busway

Construction crews damaged a natural gas line Friday morning in the area of the South Dade Busway, which is in the general area of Southwest 104th Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The busway is closed along with the southbound outside lane of U.S. 1.
The roadways will not reopen until repairs are made to the gas line. The repairs could take up to eight hours, authorities said. Drivers should expect delays in the area of a strip mall on U.S. 1. The strip mall includes a Whole Foods Market and a Target store.
The closure will affect the Palmetto Expressway that ends on U.S. 1.
