Accused Miami Bank Robber Caught After Chase: Authorities
After a police chase on Interstate 595 that resulted in a crash, a man accused of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Miami was arrested.
MIAMI, FL - After a police chase on Interstate 595 in Broward County that resulted in a crash, a man accused of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Miami was arrested Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Oscar Rivas, 26, of Miami, faces federal charges for allegedly robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch, 1051 NW 14th Street in Miami, Local 10 News reported.
Police vehicles filled the westbound lanes of I-595 near the northbound entrance to Florida's Turnpike. An overturned car could be seen on the left shoulder. Rivas was not injured in the crash and was arrested at the scene.

Earlier Friday, the FBI released photographs from a bank robbery that took place about 8:40 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch.
A man entered the bank, displayed a firearm and demanded money from a bank employee, according to an FBI news release. Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no injuries. The amount of money taken was not released. The armed man wore red gloves.
