Florida Amber Alert Issued For 10-Year-Old Miami Girl

A Florida amber alert was issued for a 10-year-old Miami girl who has been missing since Saturday and may be traveling in a white van.

MIAMI, FL — A Florida statewide amber alert was issued Tuesday for a 10-year-old Miami girl who has been missing since Saturday and may be traveling in a white van.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Randi Canion was last seen around the 7800 block of North Bayshore drive in Miami.

"The child may be in the company of an unidentified white male, unknown height, unknown weight," according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. "They may be traveling in a white van."

The child is described as black, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her hair is styled in box braids.

Officer Mike Vega of the Miami Police Department told reporters that Canion has run away several times in the past.

"We just need the pubic's help in finding this young girl who may be in danger," Vega told reporters. "In none of the other times that she's run away it has gone for this long. They've always had some sort of communication with her."
