Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava was at the blessing of the pole event and spoke about the totem pole’s message and how this can be tied to her upcoming trip to the nation’s capital.
The totem pole, which is touring the country, will eventually make its way to Washington D.C., where it will be displayed at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.
