Maurice L. Kemp EMS Cadet Program Accepting Applications

This program gives at-risk youth between the ages of 18-25 in Miami-Dade County an opportunity to learn a new skill.

The Maurice L. Kemp EMS Cadet Program provides at risk youth, between the ages of 18 to 25 years old, who reside in Miami Dade County area with the opportunity to learn a new skill in the field of emergency response. The MLK EMS Cadet Program is an estimated 4-to-5-month program of study comprised of two components: First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician. Once the cadets have completed all course requirements and passed the State of Florida EMT certification exam, he/she will have gained the technical skills and knowledge needed to fulfil and excel in roles/positions in the emergency services industry.
