Miami-Dade County Teaches How To Compost At Home

Miami-Dade County's Department of Solid Waste Management is hosting home composting workshops in cooperation with the Miami-Dade County Cooperative Extension. Composting is nature's way of recycling. Yard waste and food scraps are broken down and become food for plants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Whether you're looking to keep food scraps out of the landfill, want to learn how to create your own compost bin, or haven’t heard of composting but you are interested in exploring how and what materials can be composted, these sessions are for you!
