Miami Spice 2019: Nearly 300 Restaurants On Sale

August and September bring once-a-year restaurant deals with the 18th annual Miami Spice.

MIAMI, FL — Nearly 300 of the best restaurants around Miami went on sale Aug. 1 with the 18th installment of Miami Spice. The event promises once-a-year-savings from downtown Miami to Miami Beach, the airport, Coral Gables, the Design District, Wynwood, Coconut Grove — and just about every area of Miami — at a fraction of the regular price. The mouth-watering event runs through Sept. 30.

"I would recommend my guacamole for breakfast, lunch and dinner," declared Gabriela Arevalo, manager of upscale Mexican restaurant La Cerveceria de Barrio ahead of this year's event along the popular Lincoln Road area of Miami Beach. "Actually, I recommend everything."

Unlike some other restaurant deals, this one does not require any special membership or credit card and is open to visitors and locals alike. Simply use the restaurant links below to check meal times and availability for the special Miami Spice pricing.

Many restaurants require reservations so it's good to check first. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has been organizing the annual food celebration since 2001.

Timothy Birkholz was also excited about Miami Spice at the nearby Meat Market restaurant, which is a short walk away from La Cerveceria de Barrio in the same South Beach pedestrian mall.

"It's getting the locals out of their homes to try restaurants they maybe haven't gotten the opportunity to try based upon usual price points," Birkholz, a corporate trainer at the upscale steak and seafood restaurant, told Patch. "It gives them an opportunity to enjoy not only our cuisine, but just good value and good ambiance. It is a great deal."

Once you arrive at a participating restaurant, don't forget to ask your server for the special Miami Spice menu. All of the participating restaurants are offering special three-course, fixed-prices on brunch ($23), lunch ($23) and/or dinner ($39) for three-courses per person. Some restaurants add an additional charge for certain items like steak or lobster though these should be marked on the Miami Spice menu.

Some restaurants only offer the Miami Spice pricing on certain days of the week so be sure to look for any exclusions when you select from the list of participating restaurants below.

Prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Tax, tip, libations and service charges are extra. You can narrow your search by location, type of food, day of the week or by brunch, lunch or dinner by searching the official Miami Spice website.

"It's going to bring us more locals," Arevalo added. "When Miami Spice is over they're going to keep coming to us."
