National Lobster Day 2019: Where To Celebrate Around Miami

Wednesday is National Lobster Day and we found a number of restaurants around Miami where you can celebrate the crustacean.

MIAMI, FL — Lobster lore has it that the crustaceans were so plentiful at one time that they were fed to prison inmates. Today, lobster is one of America's most prized seafood delicacies. Wednesday is National Lobster Day and time to celebrate everything lobster.

We found a number of restaurants around Miami that will be offering lobster-inspired specials in honor of National Lobster Day 2019.

BLT Prime
The acclaimed modern American steakhouse BLT Prime has a gorgeous setting, boasting spectacular views of the legendary Blue Monster golf course. The menu offers the finest cuts of USDA Prime Certified Angus beef available, in addition to fresh seasonal creations perfect for National Lobster Day like the Lobster Salad “Cobb” Style ($29) with bibb, radicchio, watercress and frisee with avocado, cheddar, crispy pancetta and buttermilk ranch dressing; or the Lobster Cocktail ($26) with cocktail sauce. BOURBON STEAK & Strip Steak By Michael Mina
Acclaimed chef Michael Mina’s Maine Lobster Pot Pie is a signature favorite that fulfills all lobster cravings while impressing guests with its elegance and luxury. Priced at $95, the lavish pie is created with a two-pound live Maine lobster and a gluten-free brandied lobster cream base made with fresh mirepoix, tomato, garlic, white wine, Sambuca and brandy. Great for sharing, the comfort dish is finished with black truffle and fine herbs before sealing everything with a fresh house-made pie crust. Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina
The acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina also known as the former Versace Mansion, offers a menu filled with dishes that are as opulent and lavish as the historic property. Iconic favorites include a beautiful Lobster Catalana starring poached Maine lobster, cherry tomatoes, red onion and potato. Priced at $36, the classic dish is the perfect appetizer or side dish to compliment any entrée. Isabelle’s Grill Room & Garden
The chic Coconut Grove eatery features the tasty crustacean on lunch and dinner menus. The Lobster Roll ($25) with celery and mayonnaise atop a brioche bun is a highlight for midday diners. For dinner, the Lobster Pappardelle ($29) is a must with house made pasta, garlic, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and olive oil. Jaya at The Setai, Miami Beach
Jaya, the Setai’s signature modern Asian restaurant helmed by executive chef Vijay Veena, serves up bold, unique flavors from Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India, China and Japan. Among their most popular dishes is the Spicy Lobster ($44) with Thai Green Curry, eggplant, bell peppers, fingerling potatoes and Thai Basil. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon
The world-renowned restaurant by Joël Robuchon recently opened its highly-anticipated South Florida location in Miami’s Design District. Among the menu standouts is an artful lobster dish served in a small or large portion, Le Homard ($39/$44), with poached Maine lobster, anise hyssop broth, summer vegetables and purple artichoke. The dish is offered on the restaurant’s a la carte menu as well as the various tasting menus. The casually elegant restaurant and bar at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami is located just off the island’s gorgeous waters, Lightkeepers features a contemporary, coastal-inspired dining room, a cool, casual indoor/outdoor bar and a beverage program featuring unique, hand-crafted cocktails. Celebrate National Lobster Day with Lobster Mac + Cheese ($18) made with Winter Park Dairy Cheddar while taking in breathtaking views of the Atlantic and hotel pool-scape. Lure (Miami Beach)
Lure Fishbar, the Miami Beach outpost of the critically-acclaimed New York City restaurant located at the iconic Loews Miami Beach Hotel offers a treasure trove of fresh, creative dishes along with a bustling bar scene. Lure has become a staple for seafoodies as well as a haven for Miami locals. The menu includes an array of Lobster-centric specials perfect for celebrating! On September 25, the restaurant will be offering a Dungeness Crab Stuffed Lobster & Wine Pairing ($60) – 1.5 pound Whole Lobster, stuffed with Dungeness crab, garlic, chili butter and grilled lemon. Paired with a glass of Francois Carillon 2015 Bourgogne (France). Signature lobster favorites also on offer include the Lobster Tempura Roll ($21) with Shishito peppers, avocado, cilantro; Four Cheese Lobster Mac ($17); and a Whole Maine Lobster ($MP) served with crispy fingerling potatoes, drawn butter. Rusty Pelican
Rusty Pelican, one of Miami’s most iconic restaurants boasting stunning skyline views of the city overlooking Biscayne Bay, is the perfect destination to indulge on National Lobster Day. A guest-favorite, the Lobster Risotto ($41) features fresh Maine lobster, Arborio rice risotto, snow peas, carrots and brandy. A decadent dish, perfectly-paired glass of wine, and gorgeous sunset backdrop; what better place to celebrate than at Rusty Pelican? Toro Toro
Celebrate National Lobster Day and indulge in a casual, flavor-packed lobster dish at Richard Sandoval’s Pan-Latin Steakhouse, Toro Toro. Located inside the InterContinental in Downtown Miami, the Lobster Mini Tacos ($16) with rocoto aioli and jicama is one of Toro Toro’s most noteworthy bar bites. For those looking for a more indulgent lobster dish, Toro Toro offers a not-to-be-missed Lobster Mac & Cheese ($16) with smoked cheddar, Gruyere and lobster meat. Luke’s Lobster
In celebration of National Lobster Day and the restaurant's 10th anniversary, Luke’s Lobster is teaming up with renowned chefs from across the country to put a new twist on the classic Maine-style lobster roll. In Miami, Luke’s is partnering with Chefs Danny Figueredo and Rosa Romero, who crafted an Enchilado de Langosta: Lobster with a Warm Tomato Chili Sauce in a Cuban Bread Bowl. The roll will be available at Luke’s Miami shacks for $22 starting on National Lobster Day, Sept. 25, through Oct. 31. Luke's will donate $1 from each purchased specialty roll to National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment, a community-based nonprofit established to prevent bullying, violence and suicide among youth families and communities through direct service, mentoring and prevention education.
