Plane Left Miami-Opa Locka Executive, Crashes In Bahamas
A Douglas DC-3 airplane that took off from Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport crashed in the Bahamas, according to the FAA.

OPA-LOCKA, FL — A Douglas DC-3 airplane that took off from Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport crashed on its approach to Lynden Pindling International Airport in the Bahamas late Friday afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The agency spokesperson said the aircraft crashed short of Runway 14 into the water at 4:45 p.m.
Linden Pindling International Airport is in Nassau.

First flown in 1935, only about 400 DC-3 aircraft are still flying today, according to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
"The FAA will investigate and the NTSB will determine the probable cause of the accident," the FAA spokesperson added.
