Police Find Mercedes Involved In Miami Beach Hit-And-Run
Police have found a Mercedes believed to have been involved in a Miami Beach hit-and-run crash that left a woman in critical condition.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Miami Beach police have found a white Mercedes-Benz believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend that left a 60-year-old pedestrian in critical condition.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said police located the vehicle Tuesday after asking the public for help a day earlier.
"The wanted vehicle was located this morning in the city of Aventura," Rodriguez said. "The investigation is ongoing."

The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday at 44 Street and Collins Avenue. The car suffered front-end damage.

"The subject vehicle is seen on city surveillance cameras travelling southbound along Collins Avenue before striking a pedestrian just south of 44 Street," Rodriguez said Monday. "At the moment of impact, the pedestrian was crossing the street and was tossed in the air before ultimately making contact with the pavement."
Rodriguez said the driver of the Mercedes never stopped or called police. The car continued south and made a U-turn at 43 Street.
The woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where she remained in critical condition after undergoing multiple surgeries.
