Rapper Pooh Shiesty Denied Bail In Federal Gun, Robbery Case: DOJ

The rapper Pooh Shiesty is being held without bond in a federal detention center in Miami pending trial, the Department of Justice said.

MIAMI, FL — Tennessee-based rapper Lontrell D. Williams, 21, who performs as Pooh Shiesty, will be held without bond in a federal detention center in Miami pending trial on charges that he was involved in the shooting of two men during a street purchase of marijuana and high-end sneakers, the Department of Justice said in a news release.

According to an indictment returned by a federal grand jury and a criminal complaint affidavit, on Oct. 9, 2020, Williams, along with Bobby Brown, 21, of Memphis and Jayden Darosa, 20, of Pembroke Pines, drove to a Bay Harbor Islands hotel to buy marijuana and a pair of high-end sneakers from two other men, the DOJ said.

During the transaction, the defendants shot the sellers with semi-automatic weapons, court documents said. Then, Williams, Brown and Darosa drove away from the scene, taking with them the sneakers and marijuana they had not paid for. The shooting victims survived.
