Search Continues At Haulover Inlet For Missing Man, 27

The U.S. Coast Guard and other first responders spent much of Thursday searching for a missing 27-year-old man at Haulover Inlet.

MIAMI, FL — The U.S. Coast Guard and other first responders spent much of Thursday searching for a missing 27-year-old man at Haulover Inlet.

The missing man was identified by the Coast Guard as Zach Forte. Officials said Forte was last seen wearing a gray and dark red shirt.

Ronald Washington of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told Patch the man may have fallen off a boat.

The search included first responders from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, according to an agency spokesperson.

"The Haulover Inlet incident is related to the call that we were dispatched on at approximately 2:10 a.m., where our fireboat and air rescue searched until approximately 4:30 a.m.," the spokesperson said on Thursday.

"We were dispatched today at 8:26 a.m. to assist in the search again," the spokesperson said. "We had the fireboat, drone and air rescue out there until approximately 12 p.m."
