Hundreds of family members, friends and fellow soldiers bid farewell to Johnson last month following a tumultuous war of words that pitted President Trump, his chief of staff and press secretary against a Miami-area congresswoman over what has traditionally been a formality: the commander-in-chief setting five minutes aside to console a grief-stricken widow.

His body was reportedly found about a mile away from the bodies of three other U.S. servicemen killed in the attack.

“The back of his head was a mess, as if they had hit him with something hard, like a hammer,” Mounkaila Alassane, who was identified as the village chief of Tongo Tongo told The Post. “They took his shoes. He was wearing only socks.”
