Think Before You Flush Campaign In Miami-Dade Saves Customers Money

Our sewers are designed to dispose of toilet paper and human waste only. Disposing of wipes in the toilet may lead to sewage backups in your home or business. Clogged pipes cost customers more than $3.4 million a year to clear in maintenance costs.

Please consider the water and sewer infrastructure and dispose of all wipes in a waste bin, including:

• Make-up Wipes
• Cleaning Wipes
• Dust Wipes
• Hand Wipes
• Wet Wipes
• Baby Wipes

If you remember that your toilet is not a trash can, you will save yourself a repair bill and a clogged toilet.
