PASSENGER STUNNED: As passengers chanted "get him off," police discharged a stun gun 10 times to subdue a 28-year-old Chicago man who was accused of "touching" a female passenger aboard an American Airlines flight in Miami. Jacob Garcia also was accused of twice attempting to grab the handgun of a Miami-Dade police officer during his arrest. MAYOR BOOKED: If any of her city's 93,000 residents had bothered to check the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Booking Blotter Tuesday night, they might have seen a less than flattering mug shot of Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie. That's a sharp contrast to the photo she retweeted in March of 2017 after Haynie won re-election to a second term in office to represent her affluent Florida city that earns frequent mentions in Hollywood sitcoms and movies for its influx of well-heeled retirees. DEFENDING STRANGERS: City officials honored the Good Samaritan who rose to the defense of an openly gay couple during a brazen assault. The attack occurred in the final hours of the Miami Beach Gay Pride festival along iconic Ocean Drive. WATER RIDE: No, it wasn't an open-air bus. But the union that represents Miami-Dade transit workers claimed it was raining on passengers inside a county bus on Monday. HANGING ON: Two workmen could be seen on live television dangling outside a Palmetto Bay office building on Tuesday morning as first responders attempted to reach them. The workers were being held by safety ropes after what appeared to be a failure of their platform lift.
