TripAdvisor Top Beaches: SOBE, Siesta Key, Lauderdale, Hollywood

MIAMI, FL -- TripAdvisor's list of top beaches in the United States includes South Beach, Siesta Key, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood Beach among other favorites in the Sunshine State.

The travel and restaurant website announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice awards for Beaches Tuesday.

Of the 25 best beaches in the U.S., 10 were in Florida, including Clearwater Beach which topped the list for the second year in a row. Panama City Beach ranked third followed by St. Pete Beach and Pensacola Beach.

Sarasota's Siesta Key finished sixth while Fort Lauderdale ranked ninth. St. Augustine Beach ranked eighth followed by Fort Lauderdale at number nine.

Navarre Beach ranked twelfth while South Beach came in fourteenth. Hollywood Beach ranked fifteenth.

The list is based on the quantity and quality of traveler reviews and ratings for beaches on TripAdvisor, gathered over a 12-month period.
