National Hurricane Center forecasters are monitoring a disturbance in the Caribbean that is expected to bring weekend rain to South Florida.

MIAMI, FL - National Hurricane Center forecasters are monitoring a disturbance in the Caribbean that is expected to bring weekend rain to South Florida. The system is forecast to move westward over the Florida peninsula on Saturday with no significant development.
The NWS says heavy rains and gusty winds are possible over portions of the Bahamas and southern Florida through the weekend. Forecasters do not believe the area of low pressure is a threat to become a tropical cyclone system.
