Attempted Carjacking Thwarted on Miami Beach
The incident happened around 11 a.m. Saturday. Miami Beach police are looking for two men, including one with green hair.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — An attempted carjacking in broad daylight was thwarted Saturday when a New York man struggled with two armed attackers near iconic Ocean Drive. The incident happened around 11 a.m. near 14 Street and Collins Court.
"The victim, visiting from New York, had just entered his vehicle which was parked in the alleyway when two men approached with firearms and attempted to yank him from the vehicle," explained Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department, who said that one of the attackers was carrying what turned out to be BB gun.

"A struggle ensued, the victim was able to disarm one of the subjects of what was later determined to be a BB gun. Both subjects then fled the area in a silver vehicle," said Rodriguez.
No one was injured.

"The victim’s female friend, who had not yet entered the vehicle as well as good Samaritans attempted to help the victim during the struggle," according to Rodriguez.
He described the suspects as black males, including one who had green hair. One of the suspects is still believed to be armed.
