Drug Lord Pablo Escobar’s Former Home Sold For $10.95M: Report

The waterfront Miami Beach property owned by Escobar in the 1980s, has been sold, reports said.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — The waterfront Miami Beach property that Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar called home in the 1980s has been sold, The Real Deal reported.

The most recent owner of the 30,000-square-foot property at 5860 North Bay Road was Chicken Kitchen founder Christian de Berdouare and his TV news anchor wife, Jennifer Valoppi, reports said.

They sold the property to Jarrett Posner, founder and chair of BMC Investments based in New York City, for $10.95 million. Posner reportedly plans to build a new mansion on the land, reports said.

Escobar bought the home in 1980 for $760,000, The Real Deal reported. The U.S. government seized the land in the 1980s.
