Flood Advisory Issued For Miami-Dade

MIAMI, FL — A flood advisory was issued for Miami-Dade County early Tuesday evening. The National Weather Service reported that to 3 inches of rain had fallen earlier in the day. The warning was to remain in effect until 9:15 p.m.

"An off duty NWS employee reported flooding along I-95," weather officials said in issuing the advisory.

Weather officials warned that there was a risk of minor flooding in streets, underpasses and canals as well as other areas throughout Miami-Dade County.

Officials also advised motorists to avoid flooded areas.
