Free Samba Concert in Miami Beach

Miami Beach is hosting a free night of samba under the stars on Thursday night at the North Beach Band Shell.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — The city of Miami Beach will host a free "evening of samba under the stars" starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The event takes place at the North Beach Band Shell.

The event kicks off with a happy hour and dance lesson from Brazil Dances at 7 p.m. The Rose Max Samba Band takes the stage at 8 p.m. with a special performance. "Rose Max is the most in-demand and award-winning Brazilian singer based in South Florida," according to Miami Beach officials. "Although she is most well known for her Bossa Nova and Brazilian jazz performances, this special project, Rose Max Samba Band, features 100 percent pure and authentic samba music from Rio de Janeiro."
