Miami AIDS Walk Hits Streets On Sunday

The 30th annual AIDS Walk Miami hits the streets on Sunday morning.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — The 30th annual AIDS Walk Miami hits the streets on Sunday morning. This year's event begins and ends at SoundScape Park. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber will serve as master of ceremonies for the 3.1-mile fundraiser while Telemundo's Jorge Bernal will serve as Grand Marshal.

The walk-a-thon benefits Care Resource, which offers comprehensive primary medical and preventive care services.

"Money raised will help provide services to over 15,000 South Floridians affected/infected with HIV/AIDS in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties," according to organizers. "This annual fundraiser also serves as a vital vehicle to raise awareness and funds to combat the effect HIV/AIDS continues to have on the South Florida region."
