Miami Beach Garbage Pickup Resumes Tuesday

County recycling services will be suspended until next week.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Garbage removal services resumed in Miami Beach on Tuesday as crews continue to respond to the damage brought by Hurricane Irma. However, residents will have to wait until next week for the county's recycling services to resume.

Miami-Dade County officials announced Tuesday that curbside recycling pickup will be suspended until Monday, Sept. 18

If you need to report storm damage in your neighborhood, you can use a form provided by the Miami-Dade County government. Crews will begin to address the damage when it is safe to do so.

"Bulky waste scheduling suspended until further notice," county officials said on Twitter. "Crews in field addressing piles of tree debris on right of way."

While the county has lifted its official curfew, some local curfews remain in place.
