A glitch with the mobile app that thousands of motorists use to pay for parking in Miami Beach, may bring a spot of good news.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — A glitch with the mobile app that thousands of motorists use to pay for parking in this urban resort city, may bring a spot of unexpected good news for the holidays. City officials announced Thursday that some ParkMobile users may have their parking tickets dismissed.

"Any customer who may have received a parking citation during the outage is eligible for an administrative dismissal," city officials said in announcing the glitch Thursday.

Some ParkMobile users recently experienced issues that were caused by a change in the app's latest iOS release.

"ParkMobile and the city of Miami Beach regret this inconvenience to our customers," city officials explained. "If you are still experiencing issues, please make sure to update your app to the latest version on your device."

"There are over 750 parking pay stations citywide accepting multiple payment options, including credit cards," city officials added.
