Miami Beach School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

MIAMI BEACH, FL — The first day of school in Miami Beach is August 20 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Miami-Date County Public School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/20: First Day of School

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/10: No School (Teacher Planning Day)
• 9/19: No School (Teacher Planning Day)
• 9/27: Secondary Early Release

October

• 10/26: No School (Teacher Planning Day)

November

• 11/6: No School (Teacher Planning Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/18: No School (Teacher Planning Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/25 - 3/29: No School (Spring Recess)

April

• 4/11: Secondary Early Release
• 4/19: No School (Teacher Planning Day)

May

• 5/9: Secondary Early Release
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/6: Last Day of School
