Updated Miami Halloween 2018 Events: Be Very Afraid

Patch has you covered with an updated roundup of Halloween 2018 events around Miami.

MIAMI, FL — With Halloween upon us, a new report ranks the magic city as one of the top 20 cities in America to celebrate the ghoulish holiday. Personal finance website WalletHub looked at 20 key metrics. They range from candy and chocolate stores per person to average price per Halloween party ticket.

"To help Americans decide where to spend the most spooktacular time of year without frightening their bank accounts, WalletHub compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 20 key metrics," the website penned. "This year, the average U.S. household is expected to spend $86.79 on Halloween expenses, from decorations to treats to costumes. Collectively, that’s over $9 billion. And if you’re counting on getting more free treats in return for your investment, you’ll definitely want to be in a place with the most activities."

Miami ranked 18th overall in the WalletHub rankings. Top honors went to New York City, Jersey City and Los Angeles. The worst place to spend Halloween is apparently Albuquerque, New Mexico. Don't laugh if you're from Baton Rouge or Memphis. They finished right behind Albuguerque.
