My Patriot Supply Provides Water Filtration Systems for Ongoing Hurricane Relief Efforts in Florida

During the time before Hurricane Irma hit mainland Florida, residents all over the state experienced the host of difficulties associated with preparing for a potentially cataclysmic natural disaster. Even with plenty of advance notice that the major hurricane developing over the Atlantic Ocean appeared to be on a collision course with some of the most heavily populated cities in South Florida, residents still hesitated and then encountered long lines at gas stations and empty shelves at grocery stores.

Even with anxiety over the approaching hurricane rising, a statewide sense of community resilience ultimately prevailed, helping ensure that Floridians were adequately prepared to endure a hurricane that promised to bring sustained winds approaching 185 miles per hour or more. With Irma’s massive storm surge and high winds, it’s no surprise that the damage -- which included widespread power outages and severe flooding -- wrought by the hurricane left many Floridians struggling to return to some version of normalcy.

While residents of the hurricane-battered state of Florida are indeed some of the nation’s most resilient, the entire state has nonetheless benefited from a wide range of relief efforts, including those provided by charities and volunteer organizations such as Mercury One and Team Rubicon. Working in conjunction with these organizations, companies like My Patriot Supply have done a great deal to contribute to the much-needed relief efforts currently taking place in cities all over the state of Florida.

Recognizing the desperate need for clean drinking water in cities like Miami, Fort Meyers, and Tampa, plus the Keys -- among countless others -- My Patriot Supply has committed to donating its Alexapure Pro water filtration systems as part of the relief efforts spearheaded by Mercury One and Team Rubicon. The company, which specializes in emergency preparation supplies and survival tools, has agreed to donate one of its 5,000-gallon capacity water filtration systems to the hurricane relief efforts for every system purchased during a specified period of time.

Obviously, residents of the state are sure to welcome any relief effort, but are especially grateful for those that address a highly specific need in the aftermath of a natural disaster that has forced a number of municipalities to issue water-quality warnings that include a mandate to boil any water prior to use. My Patriot Supply’s Alexapure Pro system is designed for off-the-grid use, which means that the system is capable of removing impurities without the need to boil water during an extended power outage such as the one caused by Hurricane Irma.

By agreeing to match any purchase of a water filtration system with an in-kind donation in support of Florida relief efforts, My Patriot Supply is effectively helping those who wish to prepare for the next natural disaster while also addressing the needs of those currently dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster. It is in this way that the company’s values mirror those of so many Floridians who understand the importance of thoroughly preparing for a natural disaster -- or any other kind of emergency, for that matter -- not just for their own good, but also for the good of fellow community members in need of help or assistance in the aftermath of a disaster.
