2 Killed In 6-Vehicle Crash On Bruce B. Downs Boulevard

Two people died, one was seriously injured and several others received minor injuries in a multi-car crash on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

NEW TAMPA, FL -- Two people died, one was seriously injured and several others received minor injuries in a multi-car crash on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard Wednesday, Oct. 10.

According to Tampa Police, a black Infiniti G37 was traveling south on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard from Amberly Drive when it suddenly veered and struck the center curbed median, sending it over the median into oncoming northbound traffic.

The Infiniti clipped the back end of one vehicle and continued into oncoming traffic where it collided with two other vehicles, causing heavy damage. Three other vehicles were damaged in secondary accidents trying to avoid the main crash.

The driver of the Infiniti, Mohamed Saud Hanidan Su Al Toobi, 19, of Tampa was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The front seat passenger of the Infiniti was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger's name isn't being released until the next of kin has been notified.

A passenger in the back seat of the Infiniti was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is now listed in stable condition.

The driver of one of the vehicles that struck the Infiniti, Charlotte Lauren Truong, 35, of Tampa was seriously injured but is now listed in stable condition.
