2016 Bay Area Renaissance Festival Opens Saturday
The fair runs weekends through March 20.

TAMPA, FL — Lords, ladies, knights and peasants have taken up residence once again at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival’s grounds at MOSI. The doors to the multi-weekend event officially open this Saturday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m.
Here are a few things folks need to know before the go:
Festival Days
Saturdays and Sundays Feb. 6 through March 20. Festival Friday is set for March 11. The fun runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, rain or shine.

Location and Parking
The festival takes place at 11315 N. 46th St. at the Museum of Science & Industry. There’s no charge to park.
Cost
Gate admission is $20.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 5 to 12, $16.95 for seniors age 62 and up and students. Season passes are also available.

Ticket Promotions
A food drive for Metropolitan Ministries takes place during the first three weekends – Feb. 6-21. Anyone who brings four cans of food for the drive will receive a free ticket after purchasing one ticket.
A blood drive is also taking place during the first three weekends. Anyone who donates will receive a free T-shirt and a free ticket to the festival.

The following themes are set:
- Pillage The Village – Feb. 6-7
- Chocolate Fantasy – Feb. 13-14
- Highland Fling – Feb. 20-21
- Time Travelers – Feb. 27-28
- Shamrocks & Shenanigans – March 5-6
- Festival Friday – March 11
- Pirates and Pets – March 11-13
- Barbarian Brew Fest – March 19-20
