Area Whole Foods Markets to Host Super Bowl Sampling Parties

TAMPA BAY AREA, FL – At a loss for what dishes to make or bring to a Super Bowl Day TV-viewing party?

The local Whole Foods Market stores are hosting a "Game Day Block Party" on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where shoppers are invited to try free samples of football fare, beer and sweets to possibly decide what to serve on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5.

The 26 stores in Florida are participating and are preparing an extensive selection of game-day grub, which will include:

• Boneless Buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dressing
• Nature’s Rancher bacon and Northern Chef Buffalo shrimp
• Late July tortilla chips paired with local hummus and Local Sunset salsas
• Cubed cheese platter, including Jarlsberg, mild cheddar and Pepper Jack
• Sierra Nevada Beer
• Brownie Bliss platter
