First Modern Yoga Studio Coming to New Tampa this Spring

New Tampa will soon be home to the newest YogaSix, a modern fitness boutique offering a fresh perspective on one of the world’s oldest practices. Opening in the spring at 8602 Hunters Village Rd., the studio will introduce people of all ages and abilities to the various health and wellness benefits of the brand’s unique take on yoga, in a welcoming, modern and fun environment. The New Tampa YogaSix will be the first of nine studios coming to the Tampa and St. Petersburg area in the next two years.

YogaSix New Tampa is operated by yoga expert Verena Glenn. Glenn is a seasoned yoga instructor who has seen the benefits of adding yoga to a personal fitness plan. She has taught a variety of classes in the past and found that the YogaSix method of building up to complex poses creates a welcoming and inclusive environment in the studio.

“YogaSix will bring New Tampa an inclusive environment that will allow anyone from a seasoned yogi or a first time member to get a great workout and build a supportive community,” said Glenn. “I’m looking forward to finding our team and getting the studio ready for our spring opening date.”

YogaSix New Tampa will provide class options for everybody, from beginners seeking a recovery to more advanced students. The studio wants to introduce yoga in a modern practice that allows all levels to feel welcome. A variety of yoga classes will be offered to encompass everything from deep stretching to stress relief to high intensity training. Each class will cater to every fitness level and strengthen the mind-body connection. Particularly notable is the use of modern language instead of Sanskrit to describe its practice, as the traditional language can be intimidating to newcomers.
