PHSC to Host Self-Defense Seminar in Wesley Chapel

The self-defense seminar with Pasco-Hernando State College is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 15.

Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) will host a self-defense seminar presented by Jon Touchton, founder of Paladin Karate & Defensive Arts, on Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel, 2727 Mansfield Blvd. The presentation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon in the conference center, building B, room 303.

Touchton, a fourth-degree black belt and a retired police officer with more than 25 years of experience, will share self-defense tactics and techniques on how to react to and defend yourself from violence. Learn to follow the protocol of avoidance, evasion and escape from dangerous encounters and utilize the most simple and effective means to stay safe.

The event is part of PHSC’s ongoing Community Awareness Series available to community members, students, staff and faculty at no charge.
