Public Hearing Set Tuesday For Bruce B. Downs Blvd Project

The Department of Transportation is hosting a virtual public hearing for the proposed median modifications along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

NEW TAMPA, FL — The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting a virtual public hearing for the proposed median modifications along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard from south of Eagleston Boulevard to State Road 54 in Pasco County.

The $500,000 consists of closing the existing median at the Hollybrook Plaza entrance, extending the northbound left turn lane to State Road 54, and adding a traffic signal at Eagleston Boulevard, a southbound U-turn lane, and pedestrian features at the Eagleston Boulevard intersection of Bruce B. Downs.

The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2022.

The public hearing will be held virtually over the internet, by phone or at an in-person drive-thru Tuesday, March 2, at 2:30 p.m.

This public hearing is conducted to give affected property and business owners, residents and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to the FDOT regarding the proposed median modifications.
