Tampa Premium Outlets Now Open for Business

The wait is over. Tampa Premium Outlets is officially open for business.

The new outlet mall opened its doors to customers at 10 a.m. Thursday, bringing with it more than 90 new shops for residents to explore and hundreds of jobs. And, while the ribbon has been cut, a four-day celebration is now under way in central Pasco County.

Here are a few things shoppers might want to know about in advance of making the drive to the Simon Property Group’s latest mall:

Location and Hours

The new mall is located at 2300 Grand Cypress Drive in Lutz. This is just off Interstate 75 at State Road 56.

The new mall’s grand opening weekend hours are as follows:

• Oct. 29 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Oct. 30 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Oct. 31 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Nov. 1 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The center will observe these hours normally:

• Monday through Saturday – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Thanksgiving Day, the mall will be open from 6 p.m. until midnight

Special hours are also planned for Black Friday Weekend and the holiday shopping season.

Grand Opening Fireworks

The mall plans a fireworks celebration on Friday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. to celebrate its opening

Entertainment

A full slate of entertainment is planned throughout opening weekend, including Halloween-themed events for families and kids. A “Haunted Pirate Ship,” for example, will sail in Thursday, Oct. 29 from noon to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon until 8 p.m.

Giveaways

Prize giveaways are planned on Thursday and Friday. Prizes on the line include gift cards to such retailers as the Nike Factory Store, J.Crew, Talbots, Wilson’s Leather, Levi’s and more.
