Tampa Ranks High On Best Cities To Flip Houses List

TAMPA, FL - If you are in the business of flipping houses in the Tampa area, then you are in the right place. Tampa ranked 10th nationwide on a list of Best Cities to Flip Houses, according to the personal finance website WalletHub, which released its report Tuesday.

The website says house flippers earned an average gross profit of $68,143 in 2017. WalletHub compared more than 170 U.S. cities across 27 key metrics. The data set ranges from median purchase price to average full home remodeling costs to housing-market health index.

• 28th – Housing-Market Health Index

• 36th – Average Full Home Remodeling Costs
• 58th – Percent of Population with Walkable Park Access

According to RealtyTrac, the current homeownership rate is 64.2 percent (down from a high of 69.20 percent in 2004). That may translate to fewer potential buyers off the bat, depending on the location of your property, according to the WalletHub report.
