On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., the Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) will hold a Public Hearing in accordance with Section 1-2.71, Rules of the EPC to consider and adopt proposed amendments to Chapter V of the "Basis of Review for Authorization of Activities Pursuant to Chapter 1-11 - Wetlands" (BOR). These amendments are regarding the Miscellaneous Activities in Wetlands (MAIW) permitting criteria for construction and non-construction related activities such as boardwalks, docks, rip rap, other shoreline activities, and whole lake treatment.

MAIWs are wetland permits for development which is of nominal consequence to the wetland and do not require a reasonable use analysis or mitigation. All other chapters of the BOR are not subject to revision.
