Patch: If you had to sum up the Zephyrhills® Brand business mission to a stranger, what would you say?
Clevenger-Lee: To provide healthy hydration and brighten the everyday lives of Floridians.
Patch: How does Zephyrhills® Brand Natural Spring Water distinguish itself from others?
Clevenger-Lee: Zephyrhills® Brand is a local brand. We use only 100% natural spring water from Florida, which gives our water a unique mineral composition for a delicious taste. Being a local brand, we are committed to caring for our communities through conservation and preservation efforts, sponsorships, donations and volunteering.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors that you’re working on with Zephyrhills® Brand that you’re extra excited about?
Clevenger-Lee: Yes! We just launched the Zephyrhills® Brand Feel-Good Movement, where we’re highlighting the good deeds and positive stories of local Florida organizations who are brightening the everyday lives of residents with their hard work. As part of this campaign, we’ll be awarding “Good News Grants” of $1,000 to different organizations every day between now and mid-November.
Patch: What can you tell us about the $1K per day “Good News Grants” program?
Clevenger-Lee: Zephyrhills® Brand is identifying over 100 local organizations that are helping to improve their communities. We’ll be awarding grants to a variety of organizations that focus on sustainability, education, feeding those in need, and more. We hope that every little bit counts to help these organizations continue pushing their missions forward.
We kicked off our program on August 4 with a special $10K grant to Keep Orlando Beautiful and we’ll also award another $10K grant for our program finale, which lands on America Recycles Day, November 15th. These larger donations are going towards two organizations that distinguish themselves through their sustainability and recycling efforts.
In addition to providing the organizations with these grants, we’ll also be featuring the stories of recipients on the Zephyrhills® Brand social media channels and website.
We love this opportunity to recognize good people doing good deeds. We hope that these grants will be able to help many of those in need, now more than ever.
Patch: Can you tell us more about Zephyrhills® Brand Natural Spring Water's new “I’m Not Trash” packaging?
Clevenger-Lee: Plastic waste pollution is a serious problem, and we have a responsibility to take action. We recently introduced a line of 100% recycled & recyclable bottles, which reduces the need to create new plastic and helps keep plastic out of landfills and waterways. But we need Floridians to help us by recycling their empty bottles. This is why we have taken over the labels on our bottles with a provocative reminder: “I’m Not Trash.” It’s a simple reminder to put empty bottles in the blue bin — never the trash, never toss into nature. Together, we can help keep the Sunshine State beautiful.
