Press Release: Three Industry Veterans join Equity|ECS

Market expertise to spur growth in Columbus, Cincinnati and Orlando, respectively

HILLARD, Ohio– May 14, 2019 – Equity|ECS, a full service commercial real estate firm offering services for every phase of the project lifecycle, is pleased to announce the addition of TJ Drought, Sloane Nichols and Jeff Patterson to the team. Both Drought and Nichols join as Senior Vice Presidents and Patterson returns to Equity as Senior Vice President and the Orlando Market Director. Drought will be in Columbus and Nichols in Cincinnati. Equity|ECS CEO Steve Wathen made the announcement.

Drought brings extensive knowledge and significant national relationships to his new role. He has experience in strategy development, landlord and tenant representation, and transaction negotiations. His value creation, experience and creativity will greatly benefit the Equity|ECS team as the company grows its services and national exposure. TJ is active in advisory and leasing services for developers, investors and owners of retail and mixed-use environments. He also served as executive vice president/director of leasing for the Columbus-based real estate investment trust Washington Prime Group Inc., formerly Glimcher/WP Glimcher (NYSE:WPG).

With 20 years of experience handling assignments in multiple U.S. markets, Nichols brings a strong background in commercial real estate with a focus on office and medical uses. Prior to joining Equity|ECS, Nichols worked with Colliers International in Cincinnati as Brokerage Vice President and has previous experience with CBRE in the Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C. markets. She is also active in many healthcare associations, including the Greater Cincinnati Healthcare Collaborative and the Autism Society. In her new role, Nichols will be teaming with Senior Vice President of 17 years, Elaine Gillespie to form Equity|ECS’s first brokerage team in Cincinnati focused on office and medical space. The two will form a rare and powerful female lead brokerage team.

Patterson was recognized as a top producer on multiple occasions during his time with Equity, from 2011 to 2015. Before his return, he served as co-founder of Patterson Miler Commercial Real Estate. Known for his quality representation of owners and tenants in buying, selling and leasing, Patterson will take on this role having completed over 500 leases in his career. Rejoining the team as Senior Vice President and Market Director, Patterson will be focused on the continued advancement of Equity|ECS brokerage services throughout the Orlando and Central Florida markets.
