First Responders Conduct Rooftop Rescue In Cutler Bay
First responders had to use a Stokes basket to rescue a person injured on the roof of a home near Tiffany Drive and SW 91 Avenue.

CUTLER BAY, FL — First responders had to use a Stokes basket to rescue a person injured on the roof of a home near Tiffany Drive and SW 91 Avenue. The incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
"Although the patient had non-life-threatening injuries, they were unable to walk down a ladder," explained a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

First responders placed the patient in the basket and lowered the basket from the roof of the home.
"The patient was then transported to a local area hospital," according to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson.
