Starbucks Offer: Free Iced Tea On Friday For 1 Hour

It's tea time at Miami-area Starbucks' locations.

MIAMI, FL — If you scored a free entree earlier this week at Chic-fil-A, you may want to wash it down with a free iced tea at Starbucks. The catch is you have to get to your local store before 2 p.m. Starbucks is marking the launch of its new Teavana Shaken Iced Tea Infusions by giving away one free tall infusion per customer as part of "Free Tea Friday."

The deal is good only from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 14.

"You don't have buy anything and you don't have to show some sort of coupon," Starbucks said in a news release, but warned, "You may want to prepare for even longer lines than usual, though."

Comparing the new drink to "tea cocktails," Starbucks said it infuses "tea with tea," creating "an iced tea beverage with an enhanced, perfectly balanced taste." The Teavana Shaken Iced Tea Infusions come in three flavors: Pineapple Black Tea, Peach Citrus White Tea and Strawberry Green Tea

"You get more of a true tea experience when you flavor green, white or black tea with herbal tea made from botanicals and fruit,” Starbucks product developer Melynda Cheng said.

The three flavors will be available year-round at Starbucks locations in the U.S. and Canada.
