Miami Ranks Among Most 'Fun' Cities In America

As if we needed any affirmation, a new study has concluded that Miami is one of the most fun cities in the U.S.

MIAMI, FL — As if we needed any affirmation, a new study has concluded that Miami is one of the most fun cities in the U.S. Personal finance website WalletHub ranked the Magic City fifth out of 180 American cities for fun — something any spring breaker could have easily determined without any data crunching at all. The findings were based on 65 factors, including the percentage of fitness clubs, bars and dance clubs per person.

Miami finished first with respect to the number of fitness centers, third for the number of restaurants, ninth for bar accessibility, 10th for dance clubs, 13th for festivals and 14th for the number of attractions.

Some people like trying new restaurants, traveling, going to bars and clubs or playing outdoor sports," WalletHub penned. "Others enjoy riding roller coasters, going to the movies, or playing video games. But having fun can be expensive – the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the average American spends nearly $3,000 on entertainment per year."
