Elsewhere over the Atlantic basin on this Thursday afternoon, a small area of low pressure is located over the far eastern Atlantic Ocean a few hundred miles south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. The associated showers and thunderstorms associated have increased and become better organized during the day. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development, and this system could become a tropical depression during the next day or so while it drifts generally north-northwestward. It has a medium (50 percent) chance of formation during the next 48 hours. After that time, environmental conditions are forecast to become less favorable for development. www.hurricanes.gov#TeamPB #PBalwaysworkingforyou #BeHurricaneReady #BePrepared #StayInformed
