2013 Palm Harbor Citrus Festival: Schedule of Events

It's time to get your party on, Palm Harbor! The 2013 Citrus Festival features lots of hometown fun, including Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars, the Palmsbury Bake-Off, Carnival Rides and much more. Keep this schedule handy.

Whoo hoo! It's time for Palm Harbor's annual Citrus Festival! The festival will be held on Florida and Georgia avenues from Thursday, April 4 through Sunday, April 7. 

The 2013 Citrus Festival features lots of hometown fun, including Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars, the Palmsbury Bake-Off, Carnival Rides and much more.

"The Citrus Festival is a celebration of Palm Harbor's heritage. This community event is guaranteed fun for all ages. Friday and Saturday night music will fill the air while children and families enjoy the carnival," said the 2013 Citrus Festival Chairperson, Christen Tonry, who is the principal of Palm Harbor University High.

Admission to the festival is free with the exception of carnival rides and Thursday's Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars dinner and preliminary competition (see below).

Free coupons for discounts on carnival rides are available through Friday, April 4 at the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce office, 1151 Nebraska Ave. Once the Citrus Festival begins, you can pick up the coupons at the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce/Old Palm Harbor Main Street table, which will be set up at the festival.

Thursday, April 4

  • 5-10 p.m: Carnival
  • 7 p.m:             

Friday, April 5

  • 4-11 p.m: Carnival
  • 6-8 p.m: The Defendants (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 8-10 p.m: The Black Honkeys (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)

Saturday, April 6

  • 8 a.m: Co-Ed Softball 1-pitch Tournament, Men's 1-pitch and Kickball Tournaments (Sunderman Field. Proceeds benefit the CSA Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation Youth Summer Scholarship Programs)
  • 9:45 a.m. - 10 p.m: Vendors
  • 10 a.m. - 11 p.m: Carnival
  • 11 a.m. - Noon: Citrus Queen Pageant Finals (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 1 p.m: Palmsbury Bake-Off (at Harbor Hall) 
  • 1-1:30 p.m: Highland Dance (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 2 p.m: Palm Harbor University High School Acappela Group (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 4 pm: Cornhole Tournament (empty lot at S.E. Florida Avenue & 11th St.)
  • 4-4:30 p.m: Victory Martial Arts (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 4:30 p.m: YMCA (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 6-8 p.m: Michael Nichols (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
  • 8-10 p.m: SoulGrass (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)

Sunday, April 7

  • 11 a.m-6 p.m: Carnival
  • 2 p.m: Dancing with the Stars Finals (Main Stage on Florida Avenue)
