2nd Palm Harbor School Undergoes Lockdown
Lockdowns at Palm Harbor Middle School Thursday and Highland Lakes Elementary Wednesday were caused by people who were not supposed to be on campus, according to a Pinellas County Schools spokesperson.

For the second time in two days, a Palm Harbor school was placed on lockdown. A Pinellas County School spokesperson says the incidents were not related.
Palm Harbor Middle School officials placed the school under lockdown for a half hour Thursday afternoon when a former student who was not supposed to be on campus trespassed onto school property, according to Pinellas County Schools spokeswoman Melanie Marquez Parra.
Marquez Parra was not aware of the exact time of the lockdown, but a Palm Harbor Patch reader reported being at the school around 1 p.m. and was told a lockdown was under way.

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies did not respond to the lockdown at Palm Harbor Middle School, however, they did go to the residence of the former student to see if the student was at home, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Cristen Rensel.
Thursday's lockdown came about 24-hours after a lockdown at Highland Lakes Elementary School. That lockdown was caused by a parent who was not supposed to be on school property (read the details here).
