Calling All Star Wars Fans- Get Your Party On at the Library Saturday

You're invited to wear a Star Wars costume and attend the Star Wars Reads Day at the Palm Harbor Library. The event is held at libraries across the country on Oct. 6 to celebrate reading and Star Wars .

Do you secretly desire to be Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia or possibly even R2-D2? 

You're invited to wear a Star Wars costume and attend the Star Wars Reads Day at the Palm Harbor Library. The event is held at libraries across the country on Oct. 6 to celebrate reading and Star Wars 

The Palm Harbor Library has a fun lineup of Star Wars activities that the staff is excited about. Assistant Library Director Lois Eannel has had her Princess Leia hair braids ready for at least a month now (see photo).

Here's a look at the Star Wars fun-

  • 10 a.m.- Star Wars Movie Marathon in the Teen Room. Kids ages 11-18 can watch The New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Seating is limited, so be sure to register early.
  • 12-4 p.m.- Star Wars Reads in the Children's Room. All ages can enjoy Star Wars games and activities. There will even be some prizes, too. Participants are welcome to come dressed as Star Wars characters.
