Carwise Students Organize Successful Food Drive

The students planned and partnered with community organizations to feed the needy.

Students at Carwise Elementary have collected more than 1,000 non-perishable food items.

The students in school's Builders Club organized the food drive as a part of their service learning project, according to this recent story in the Tampa Bay Times.

They decided to align themselves with USA Today-sponsored, "Lead2Feed World Hunger Leadership Challenge," which encourages middle and high schoolers to take on a project that solves hunger.
